Use the AI panel in your Inbox
Every channel tab under Inbox has an AI panel that sits above the message list. It briefs you on what needs attention, offers a few tools for the selected conversation, and holds the AI proposals waiting for your decision. This page describes the mail panel; the Teams, WhatsApp, Messenger and Instagram panels work the same way with their own tools.
Open and close the panel
Section titled “Open and close the panel”The panel is hidden until you ask for it, so a quiet inbox costs no space. To open it in All mail:
- Click Mesy Mail in the header, press a, or scroll up from the top of the list.
- Read the panel, headed Mesy AI · Mail.
- Click the close control, titled Close (Esc), or press Esc to return to the mailbox.
While AI work is waiting, an amber line glows along the top edge of the header and a dot sits on Mesy Mail. Both disappear once the panel is in view. New work never opens the panel by itself. On Teams the strip reads Mesy Teams, on WhatsApp Mesy WhatsApp, and so on; those tabs have no keyboard shortcut.
Read the briefing
Section titled “Read the briefing”The top of the panel lists what needs you, most urgent first. A row such as 3 staged with AI proposals waiting on your review opens Approvals. A row such as 12 unread with Unread in this view applies the Unread filter to the list and closes the panel. When nothing is waiting, the panel says All clear in mail.
Use the tools
Section titled “Use the tools”Under the briefing sit three tools for mail. Draft opens the compose panel. Add to CRM appears only when the selected thread has no linked record; it stages the sender as a proposed contact. Ask Mesy opens the co-pilot docked on the right with a question about the selected thread, so you never get a second chat window.
The Teams panel offers Ask Mesy, which asks the co-pilot to catch you up on recent chats. The WhatsApp, Messenger and Instagram panels offer Add to CRM for an unlinked conversation.
Review pending proposals
Section titled “Review pending proposals”Below the tools, every proposal waiting on you for this channel is listed as a collapsed card. Each card has the same approve and dismiss controls as Approvals. The list is never cut short; if it grows tall, it scrolls inside the panel while the mailbox stays visible below. Under it, a history section shows what was settled and links back to it.
Inside an open thread, a box headed Needs you on this thread repeats the proposals that concern that thread. It shows nothing when there are none.
Let the AI draft an email, then send it yourself
Section titled “Let the AI draft an email, then send it yourself”Mesy never sends an email the AI wrote without your click. When you ask the co-pilot to write an email, it stages the message and tells you to click Send to send it. The card is headed Review before sending and has Send and Discard; after you send, it reads Email sent. If the same card is sent twice, Mesy tells you the email was already sent rather than sending a second copy.
Inside the compose panel, AI Draft and AI Refine only fill the text box. You edit the draft and click Send as with any other message.
