Customise your dashboard
Arrange the cards on your home dashboard, add widgets from the gallery, and keep more than one dashboard for different views of your work. Open Dashboard in the sidebar. On a desktop the co-pilot chat sits above the dashboard on the same scrolling page.
What the default dashboard contains
Section titled “What the default dashboard contains”A new workspace’s dashboard is named Dashboard and holds seven cards. They are Getting Started, Key Metrics, Pipeline Overview, AI Activity, Tasks & Follow-ups, Deals Needing Attention and AI Insights. Dashboards are shared with the whole workspace. Only the person who created a dashboard, or an admin, can save changes to it or delete it.
Edit the layout
Section titled “Edit the layout”Click Customize to open edit mode. The dashboard name becomes an input you can retype, and the header shows Editing with Add widget, Cancel and Save. Nothing is stored until you click Save.
Hover any card to reorder, resize or remove it. Drag the card’s grip to move it, or open the card’s options menu and use Move up or Move down. Remove from dashboard takes the card off.
The same menu sets Width and Height. Width is ¼, ½, ¾ or Full, or any number of columns from 1 to 12. Height is Auto or a band from 2 to 6. Dragging a card’s right edge changes its width and its bottom edge changes its height.
Add a widget
Section titled “Add a widget”To add a widget:
- In edit mode, click Add widget.
- Pick a widget type from the list.
- Fill in the widget’s fields, if it has any, and watch the preview update.
- Pick a Size.
- Click Add to dashboard.
- Click Save and see the new card on the dashboard.
Chart / KPI skips steps 4 and 5. It has no Size picker, and you add it with the report builder’s own Save as report button.
The gallery has three groups. Cards holds the built-in cards above plus Upcoming, which lists calendar events and due tasks in date order. A built-in card already on the dashboard shows Added and can’t be added twice.
Numbers & charts holds Number, Leaderboard, Chart / KPI and three trend charts. Number needs a Source and a Measure: Count of records, Sum or Average. A sum or average also needs a Measure field, and Format is Number or Currency. Leaderboard takes the same source and measure and ranks the top owners. Chart / KPI opens the report builder inside the gallery; see Build a report.
The trend charts are Open pipeline value over time, Open deal count over time and Win rate over time. They appear only when your workspace has an opportunity type.
Lists holds Record list, Recent records and Saved view. Record list and Recent records need an Object type; Recent records shows the 8 newest records of that type. Saved view embeds a view you saved on a records page, and reads No saved views yet until you have one.
To change a widget’s settings later, open its options menu in edit mode and click Edit. Built-in cards other than Leaderboard have no settings to edit.
When the dashboard holds a record list or a leaderboard, the header shows an All and Mine toggle. Mine narrows those widgets to records you own.
Keep more than one dashboard
Section titled “Keep more than one dashboard”The dashboard name at the top of the page doubles as a switcher. Click a name to switch to that dashboard; Mesy remembers your choice for your next visit. Click the + next to the names (its tooltip reads New dashboard) to create one. It starts as a copy of the default layout named New dashboard and opens in edit mode. Rename it, change its cards and click Save.
In edit mode a saved dashboard has a Delete action, which works for its creator or an admin. Deleting asks you to confirm and removes the dashboard for everyone in the workspace. If you delete the default dashboard, the next one becomes the default; deleting the last one restores the original seven cards.
The Getting Started card
Section titled “The Getting Started card”Getting Started shows a checklist headed Get started with a count of steps done. The first step is Add your first followed by your main record type. An admin with a deal type then sees Set up your followed by that type’s pipeline. Then come Connect email & calendar and, for managers and admins, Invite your team.
Each step ticks itself once the work is done, and an undone step links to the right page. The card disappears once every step is done, or when you dismiss it; a dismissed card doesn’t come back.
