Ask the co-pilot
Ask the Mesy AI co-pilot a question or give it a job from anywhere in Mesy. One conversation follows you between the Chat page, the floating panel and the search palette.
Open the co-pilot
Section titled “Open the co-pilot”Click Chat in the sidebar for the full-size conversation. On a desktop the Chat page and the Dashboard are one scrolling page: scroll down for your dashboard and back up for the chat. On a phone they’re two separate pages.
On every other page a pill reading Ask Mesy anything… sits at the bottom of the screen. Click it to open the co-pilot as a floating panel. Drag the panel to the left or right edge to dock it there, or click Expand to full chat to jump to the Chat page.
Press Cmd+K (Ctrl+K on Windows) to open the search palette. Type your text, then press Tab to hand it to the co-pilot. The palette closes and the co-pilot opens docked on the right with your question already sent. On the Chat page the question goes into the conversation on that page instead. Selecting the Ask AI row does the same.
Write a message
Section titled “Write a message”Type in the box labelled Ask Mesy anything… (@ to mention) and press Enter to send. Shift+Enter adds a new line. While the co-pilot is answering, the send button becomes a stop button.
Type @ followed by at least two characters to search your records and tasks. Pick one from the list and it becomes a chip above the message box, so the co-pilot knows which record you mean. Dragging a record onto the pill attaches it the same way.
Attach a file with Attach a file, by pasting it, or by dropping it on the conversation. The co-pilot reads attached images and documents when you send. A message carries up to 10 attachments, and the send button stays off until every upload finishes. Click Dictate to speak instead of typing; the transcript lands in the message box for you to check before sending. The button is hidden if your browser can’t record audio.
Start from a suggestion
Section titled “Start from a suggestion”A new conversation on the Chat page greets you by first name and offers four chips. Log a meeting, Update a deal and Drop a note fill the message box with a sentence for you to complete. Brief me sends at once. The floating panel offers six chips instead, from Pipeline overview to Clean up duplicates; each sends when clicked.
Read your briefing
Section titled “Read your briefing”Above the chips on the Chat page, Needs you today lists the five items that most need you. They rank as overdue, stalled, today, closing and next step. Click See all to show every item grouped by band.
A deal row opens the record, and an event row opens the event in a new tab. A task row has a Complete task circle on the left.
Each deal row has an Actions menu with Snooze, Log activity and, where your pipeline defines those fields, Bump close date and Edit next step. A snooze lasts until Tomorrow or Next week and shows a toast you can click to undo. When nothing is due you see “You’re all caught up”. A line reading “awaiting your action” links to the Approvals page whenever the co-pilot has staged something for you.
Find an earlier conversation
Section titled “Find an earlier conversation”Click the Mesy AI title on the Chat page, or Chat history in the panel, to open your conversations grouped by date. Type in Search conversations… to filter by title. Double-click a title to rename it, and use the bin icon to delete it. A conversation held over Telegram is listed as Telegram and can’t be renamed. New chat appears once a conversation has started.
What the co-pilot can look up
Section titled “What the co-pilot can look up”The co-pilot searches and reads your records, pipeline, notes, tags, tasks, files and saved views. It reads your connected mail, including threads and attachments, and your calendar events. It can also search the public web; if web search isn’t set up in your workspace, it says so instead of guessing. A chart or table it builds opens in a canvas beside the conversation, with Open canvas and Close canvas in the header.
Members don’t get the manager and admin tools, and managers don’t get the admin tools. Each AI specialist starts as Read-only: the co-pilot refuses to change anything until an admin raises its tier on the AI Permissions tab under Admin. See “Review, approve and undo AI actions”.
