Approve or dismiss AI actions from Telegram

When the Mesy assistant wants to change your records from Telegram, it stages the change first. You get a card headed Confirm before this runs. Nothing happens until you act on the card, in Telegram or on the web.

Read the card

The card lists each proposed item: Create or Update with the record type and name, followed by the field values. For an update, each field shows the old value, an arrow and the new value. If the change can’t be reversed, the card says This cannot be undone once you approve it. A calendar event names how many attendees will be emailed an invite.

Confirm or discard in Telegram

A card carries ✓ Confirm and ✕ Discard buttons when your admin has left Inline confirm in Telegram switched on. Admins find that setting in Admin under AI Permissions, in the Telegram panel; it is on by default. With it off, the same card arrives with no decision buttons and tells you to confirm in the mini app or on the web.

Confirm applies every item on the card; Discard rejects every item. Telegram offers no per-item choice and no field editing. To act on a card:

Read the items on the card.
Tap ✓ Confirm to apply all of them, or ✕ Discard to reject all of them.
Read the edited card. After Confirm it shows what was applied; after Discard it reads Discarded and confirms nothing was applied.

A card you already settled on the web is updated in Telegram to say so. Tapping an old card answers with its real state, for example Already approved in Mesy, and runs nothing a second time.

Undo a change you confirmed

If everything on a confirmed card can be reverted, the settled card carries an ↩️ Undo button. Tap it once: the card reports how many changes were reverted and names them. Anything refused, for example a record edited since the confirm, is listed under Not reverted: with the reason. A card holding a change that can never be reverted says Undo isn’t available here instead of showing the button.

Review in the mini app

Every card also carries Review in Mesy. Tap it and the card opens inside Telegram, signed in as you, on the Needs you list. There you get the web card’s controls. Untick a row to leave it out, or open Edit fields to change values. Then tap Confirm (the button counts the changes) or Discard. The mini app is for reading and reviewing. The Search records icon in its header finds a record. A record opens as a read-only summary with its stage, value, owner, latest note, open tasks and recent activity.

Staged emails are reviewed in the mini app too. A drafted email arrives in Telegram as 📧 Draft ready for your review with the recipient and subject and a single Review in Mesy button. Nothing is sent from the chat: you read the draft in the mini app and tap Send there. The Telegram message doesn’t change after you send; the draft leaves the Needs you list and the web Approvals page instead.

If your account has a second factor, the mini app asks for it before it opens. The screen is titled Confirm it’s you:

With an authenticator app, enter the 6-digit code and tap Verify, or switch to Use a recovery code.
With a passkey on Android or desktop, tap Use your passkey (or Use your passkey instead if you also have an authenticator app).
With only a passkey on an iPhone or Mac, tap Verify in your browser. Mesy opens the web app on an Approve sign-in page showing a four-character confirmation code. Check it matches the code in Telegram, click Approve, then return to Telegram. The request expires after 5 minutes.

If your workspace requires two-factor sign-in and you haven’t set it up, the mini app refuses. It tells you to set it up in Mesy on the web first.

Business card photos

A photo of a business card stages a contact in the same way. The card reads Business Card Extracted and offers ✓ Confirm and ✕ Discard. If the person may already exist, the button reads ✓ Add anyway and the card suggests Review in Mesy to review first.

Every staged card also sits on the Approvals page in the web app, and a decision there settles the Telegram card too.
